Nightbeat found out Megatron’s true intentions of working with Nova Prime, & discovered Shockwave’s plans of transformation modding/ incorporating weaponry. Nightbeat predicts escalating chaos & war outbreak. Kup keeps eye on Nightbeat through Elita even after his disappearance.
Also it might be kinda’ awesome/heartbreaking if maybe while Op is working with Megs… maybe he starts to look up to Megs and maybe even develope a crush on him. ‘Cause Op is young and kinda’ naive, thinking the best of people and everything, so it might take him a while to see Megs for what he really is and notice all the corruption
i wanna really play that idea low
optimus will admire megs’ abilities and all that
but i wanna write it so that i could show it to jon and he wont’ be like

all the bots wear clothes

prime & megs need clues to find agent nightbeat, and they got no leads, so megs takes prime to the Club Trinity to ask Starscream, the head skank of the establishment, if he might know somethin that could help them
a lot of bots conduct questionable business at the club, so starscream knows things that a lot of other bots wouldn’t know about
i’m thinkin both soundwave & shockwave to be a part of the force
or at least soundwave
he’d make a good spy
and shockwave is all statistics
he’d probably be a part of the force, but one of the strategists that’s tied to a desk

he’s also a scientist
and in other continuities, he’s usually at odds with megatron
soooooo
if megatron’s a gun
and shockwave’s a gun

they’re drinking buddies
they’re at a seedy pub
probably the trinity
and they’re of likemind
shockwave tells megatron he has an idea
and it’s about grafting a weapon to his body
he’s not willing to experiment on himself, but he’d be totally fine with experimenting on others
anyone else would tell him he’s insane
and wouldn’t want to go through the disfigurement
and then after he sees how successful it turns out with megatron, he does it to himself

nobody in teh force knows of megatron’s own retractable cannon
it’s kinda like vash’s “special ability”

so when optimus sees megatron use his cannon for the first time, megatron insists that he doesn’t say anything
cuz if optimus did say anything, people would think he’s nuts
and has some kinda PTS

shockwave will attempt to kill megatron
cuz he’s after teh same thing

and then he walks out like nothin happened
i’m wondering if i should have chromia mentioned in the fic
welllllllll i have an idea for femmes & low-tech vs high-tech
like lower classes and higher classes
and i had an idea that elita
though she’s a spy for the CBI
she poses as a representative for femmes and low-tech mechs
and initially she’s not much of a civil rights activist
she just sticks to the CBI job and doesn’t really deviate
but while taking that role undercover, she learns more about femmes and lower-tech, and empathizes with them
which would probably lead her to stick with the femmes at the end of the whole thing when the autobots are formed

Hnn. I was goin’ down the character list, trying to think of roles for the people who don’t have roles yet
i don’t expect every one of those characters to play significant parts
like for jazz, blaster, and beachcomber
just hinting their identities without actually giving away their names is enough for me
cept for beachcomber, he’s got a bigger role
i know i want optimus to come across beachcomber while he’s high
on the streets somewhere
and recognize him as “that drummer from the club”
so he’ll have speaking lines
but i dun have anything planned for jazz or blaster in terms of dialogue
they act as characters in the bg
of one scene
maybe Jazz, Blaster, and Beachcomber could be musicians. Like a 50s jazz trio.

I figured Beachcomber would play the drums
Well, yeah. A lot of bands have a problem member
But the other two are tryin’ SO HARD not to give up on him, but he keeps getting himself in trouble, buying drugs from shady people (Swindle), blowing off practice to get high, but so far he at least shows up for all the performances, so they’re hanging on to him. ‘Cause when he has his shit together, he’s really good.
Jazz would be the front man
One of them should play piano..
jazz would probably be skilled with multiple instruments
THaz good, ‘cause it helps if at least one or two members can stwitch it up
…. The stunticons could be some kinda’ street gang who cut deals with the dirty cops to avoid jail time maybe?
